Nuclear Disarmament
We
all know that excessive armament has gone on for way to long and that
something needs to be done immediately about it least this vehicle of
death fall into the hands of a ignorant mentality. Again, I hate to seem
like I'm picking on some of the more volatile regions of the world
however it is, what it is by the very conduct that is exhibited year
after year by certain countries.
Unfortunately,
some in the world have a do or die complex quite literally, and it is
those who will continue at all costs to human life that concerns me.
When I see a guy that thinks nothing of strapping a bomb to his chest
for some twisted cause that doesn't even make sense, be it for political
or religious reasoning, it's cause for concern.
It's
a concern quit simply because here's a guy that thinks nothing of
killing himself along with countless others via some extremist ideology
that he feels good about, telling him to die and kill others for God and
country at any cost.
What
makes us think it's going to stop with the underwear bomber? And why
couldn't this extremist ideology resonate with the leader of such a
country as after all, it is a wide spread notion that's heard on every
level of various societies.
Further,
why wouldn't a leader with a Gaddafi type mentality think anything
about using such a weapon against anyone he construed as being the enemy
of his government. I think we all get the drift here in what I'm trying
to convey as some of us have entertained this scarey thought for quite
some time now.
I
personally think that we just need to get rid of this weapon globally
as it's over kill by it very nature, something that should have never
been created in the first place but was out of necessity just the same.
I'm
a strong believer in peace through strength but there is such a thing
as excessive strength that could result in the annihilation of the
world, or a weapon built in the interest of maintaining peace that could
eventually be the ultimate weapon of peace by bringing extinction to
every living thing on the earth.
We
all know, that it is a matter of time until some Nation drops their
guard in keeping this weapon close to them and so, resulting in some
extremist idiot in getting a hold of one of these things. It's coming
guys, in that some whack job will use one of these missiles against his
enemies to which could be you and myself.
I
think it's time for the world to sit down and have some real serious
talks about the matter of nuclear disarmament before it's to late. I
believe that the world leaders need to sit down and discuss the
potential of disaster should the wrong people get a hold on this
technology, who care nothing of life itself.
A
Nation's strength can be looked at in two ways, the traditional way of
military strength or in the way of its leadership qualities that leads
by example, In some instances it can be looked at in both ways. Since
we have achieved the limits of military strength on both sides, there's
nothing to really gain by pushing military superiority over another
Nation through an arms race, agreed?
The
only thing left to pursue is diplomacy past this and to lead by example
in doing what good for not only the singular Nation, but for the entire
world, correct? Your answer should be "yes" but if not, then you don't
belong in power.
I
would say that there are many alternatives in resolving disputes be
they on a local level or the international level to which have nothing
to do with violent conflict or war. Really, were at a impasse in the
world as nuclear weapons present such a dangerous and have the capacity
to wipe out the earth inhabitence in a flash, their simply not
considered a viable weapons system any longer and more or less a toy of
death for mad men.
Not
only will they extinguish life but destroy real estate and thus,
leaving a lifeless and chard world to which wouldn't be of any use to
the survivors. My question is, why are we keeping something this deadly
and destructive around that would not only kill the enemy but its user
as well ?
Even
if a Nation fired one of these missiles off to rid themselves of a
enemy Nation wouldn't this eventually poison the water and food supply
for everyone left beyond the blast zone? And what about the fall out of
such a weapon? Yes, your enemy would be gone along with half of the
worlds real estate food and water supplies, but what about the effects
on the Earth itself?
Nuclear
winters, habitat extinction, mass loss of resource, a way to refine it
and so fourth, not to mention the disease it would cause to whomever
made it through the blast....NOT GOOD. Yes, there would be nothing
around to salvage or build on to, all the archives would be lost and
humanity would be set back to day one of existence, in light that any of
us made it through such a global catastrophic event.
Again
world I ask you, why do we still have these high grade weapons of mass
destruction? As the only person that would have use of these things
would be that of a person with a death wish. In short, these weapons
can't be used against anyone with hitting eventually yourself in the
face with your own destruction.
As
I've stated previously, the only people that have use for this type of
weapon are the people that have a "do or die" mentality, who care
nothing about life, or anything else but in how the world perceives
them, even they are shortsighted in that they have forgotten one thing,
and that is no one will be around to remember them, lol.
There's
a level and degree of seriousness between destruction and annihilation
and hence, a difference between annihilation and extinction. We as
world leaders better give this some deep thought in our decision making
processes in deciding if we really want to keep nuclear weaponry or not.
I
know that this is a major concern of many countries around the world
but there doesn't seem to be anything being done about it. Seldom do
you hear anything being said about it these days when it should be the
main topic of discussion amongst the world's leaders.
In
the end, we as a humanity should really start thinking about what's
good for us as a family and put aside the fears and daunting's of our
fathers as this world belongs to us now and no other, It is up to us
solely in how the world will spin from this day forward.
It's
up to us to decide in what type of a world that we want to live in and
further, if we as a people wish to reside ourselves to always living
under threat of mass extinction. Get rid of the damn bombs people and
let's move forward as the human family that we are; let's start
thinking with our minds and hearts instead of with our fears and
insecurities.
