Stand
Off In Egypt
Concerning the revolution and stand off in Egypt. The
General has been made vice President over the nation and the military
has been ordered to attack the people with deadly force and thus,
good faith has not been shown on the part of this government, nor
does it seem forthcoming by the current Egyptian regime in power.
We've seen innocent people that have been ran over in
the streets via trucks and other types of vehicles, we've witnessed
them shot in the streets in cold blood and falsely arrested and
beaten beyond recognition for political reasons. We've seen the
Dictator and his administration practice deception, break his word,
become evasive and lie to the American government and press over and
over.
We've seen the global press beaten, killed and driven
out, we've seen this same press hide out of fear for their lives not
to mention being a victim to negative propaganda invoked by the
tyrannical government itself.
We've also seen this same government attempt to frame
the U.S. government via the unlawful use of stolen embassy vehicles
running down innocent people in the streets. Wow Dictator, do you
think we're fools? Well we're not, and neither are your people.
We've seen the people of Egypt both withdraw back to
their camps, or back into Liberation Square and yet stand against the
adverse and excessive force of the Dictator's army. I commend the
Egyptian people for the prudence practice and the courage they have
shown throughout this entire event.
Even in the wake of positive changes great sacrifices
must be made. Unfortunately, blood often times is spilled when good
clashes with evil. You are in every prayer of those who have watched
this terrible thing unfold around the world.
I believe that Ali, Jehovah and God smiles on the plight
of the Egyptian people and so, their plight hasn't gone unnoticed by
Heaven nor even by the nations of the world. We have seen it, we have
spoke it, we have written it in the books of history.
The Egyptian people are now showing the world of their
great quality in maintaining a civilized mentality that we all could
take lessons from. You great people are choosing not to be a part of
the problem but the peaceful resolution to it. Evil can not exist in
the light of the righteous mind and heart.
I believe that in order to resolve this stalemate or
stand off, I would say that the United Nations must take a more
proactive position in this conflict and that this problem shouldn't
be merely thrown into the lap of the U.S. or President Obama. We must
take a more active part in the way of United Nations Monitoring
Units being dispatched to the region until the shifting of one
administration has occurred to the next.
It's only through world intervention that this conflict,
revolution, or deadlocked conflict will be resolved in a peaceful and
constructive manner. Not only this, but trade sanctions and possible
embargo’s must be enacted against the tyrannical government should
they not cooperate with the transition.
Of course, the problem is in applying these pressures to
the government without harming the people of such region, and
therein is the enigma to be worked around. I don't advocate U.S. or
U.N. military intervention as this would only inflame the current and
all ready volatile state of affairs however, there's another way.
I would surmise that if we, the United Nations were to
dispatch and station various groups of government Monitors within the
troubled region and capital, then this would keep the current regime
honest via holding them accountable to their word given to the people
that inhabit Egypt.
In worse case scenario it would be prudent for the
United Nation's Counsel, to consider trying a given dictator for war
crimes against other nations, U.N. representatives, or crimes against
members of a particular nation. We must instill the fear of negative
ramification or repercussions to those who wish to make life cheap.
If we as a U.N. force were to be deployed in a speedy
manner, then this in itself would not only disperse the growing
tensions between the Egyptian government and the people currently
under their rule, but would also allow the people in returning back
to their homes and jobs and thus, getting this nation moving again.
The current government could be moved along into the
next administration via outside U.N. observations, incentives and
pressures. The overall problem should start resolving itself
immediately.
Egypt may fall should this revolution not be resolved
within one to two months and thus, the Egyptian economy would
devastated past the point it already is. As it is, the Egypt
economy is in imminent danger of permanent collapse, in my opinion as
a nation in stagnation eventually screeches to a halt.
This suggestions above will work however, the political
timeliness and policies must be strictly observed in the way of
deployment and departure times via U.N. Monitoring groups.
If this is allowed to continue, the nation of Egypt will
become weaker and thus, become more of a target for opposition
forces, or extremist forces whom only seek power and influence over
the entire region, as we all know. Just not a good thing no matter
how we slice it.
I don't believe that its solely the responsibility of
the United States government in handling this incident more so then
being resolved on a global level, or by the Counsel Of Nations.
We must speak in a loud and united voice to any whom
feel that they are above yielding the basic considerations of human
rights to those they govern in any country. We as the nations of the
world must also be on the same page while playing by the same rules
just so you know.
This isn't a localized problem anymore as the cold war
is over and we are now a connected society in 2011; we are the people
of the world to no matter if you were born in Russia, America, or
Egypt.
Conflicts, such as the in the Egyptian region is a
global problem. Why? Simply because it affects both the global
populace and world economy and this is why we must use earnest
resolve in soothing these problems in the world. This isn't President
Obama's task solely, but the task of all nations.
Firm resolve via peaceful means of U.N. diplomatic
deployment watch groups and enforceable legal measures when needed in
applying pressure is the answer and not military force.
I believe that the current dictator of Egypt should be
given a set time to leave via a U.N. mandate and that his influence
over the Egyptian military should be limited or entirely taken away.
I think this should occur because he has proven himself
to be a dangerous individual, a person that doesn't have the welfare
of his country at heart from the looks of it in my opinion.
When a dictator, or any leader unjustifiably lashes out
in murderous violence against his people then this is an atrocity in
itself. When a leader does this in plain sight, then this is a
blatant disrespect to humanity and or Civil or intrinsic human
rights.
This dictator must only be kept in office just long
enough to make the transition and not a minute over, as he's more or
a danger to his people than a beneficial force. Sometimes even
governments must use a certain degree of force in maintaining order
but where do we draw the line?
Where do we draw the line between righteous, or
justifiable force and that of unjustifiable and murderous force for
the sake of suppressing and oppressing the people? And therein is the
problem in one's definition of justifiable and unjustifiable force.
I believe that we as a race need to stop thinking in
terms of military force and foreign occupation and start thinking in
terms of global cooperation and resolution in stomping out those who
wish to be lawless. We live in violent times, and those who live in
such times must unite instead of having conflict with each other for
whatever reason; one day maybe this will be the case.
To the news media and the reporters, I for one really
appreciate all the sacrifices you make in putting your very lives in
danger for the mare sake of bringing the story home to us. I don't
know how you do it; I don't know if I'd have the nerve to do it
myself, as much of the live footage we were being shown by our news
media live amidst the crowds in Liberty Square was outright
frightening and upsetting to put it mildly.
There are many types of Hero's in times of social unrest
and turmoil. The politicians who make the decisions in a attempt to
save lives through diplomacy, the people in the conflicts who show
bravery and compassion who fight the good fight. The reporters who
have the shocking bravery to stick it out while risking their very
lives to stay to cover the story when it is no longer safe to do so,
long after others are already on their way home to safety.
Moreover, and the field reporter whom is the bravest
one of all whom risk it all in a fight that's not even there’s to
fight just so that we have the factual story. You folks keep them
all honest. Thanks, guys as your valor is known to all and will be
remembered for a long time to come.
P.S. Your doing a great job, President Obama and
Administration, so please stay the course. And please remember this
when the hecklers start griping, your critics have had many years to
get it right, yet the the problems are still here. Why is that?
Sincerely,
James R. Morgan ll
