Hosni Mubarak
Concerning the conflict in Egypt, this is simply a conflict born out
of tyrannical behavior executed over the desperate populace for the last thirty
years, as we all know. Special note, this same set of circumstances has been
repeated over and over again in this region on through the last four thousand
years by about every regime that has ever held power over the Egyptian people
and thus, this is nothing new.
In this instance, the people assembled and protested in the name of
peaceful demonstration to remove a dictatorial ruler, whom most blame for the
negative economic conditions, living conditions and human rights issues existing
in this particular country.
The people, have moreover taken this position in the hopes that it
will invoke better living conditions, the right to be heard, to have a better
life and to be treated fairly to which they feel, hasn't been forthcoming over
the years by the current government due to the complacency of that governing
body etc.
Some Protesters, then allowed themselves to be baited by the
opposition groups that I feel were sent out to cause harm to the peaceful
demonstrations via the current leader Mubarak. It's not a hard thing to discern
in the way that we have a Dictator who is doing everything he can to stay in
power despite the wishes of his people, whom further isn't above sending out
plane clothed police forces to wreak havoc in a already volatile
situation.
A leader who has made a General over the army the Vice President
after thirty years in his attempts to secure the army that will eventually turn
against the people of Egypt. Sadly, the Egyptian people think that this army is
currently their friends, or there to protect them however, this isn't the case
as this military is there to solely protect the government structure and
Dictator himself, no more and no less.
There's a good possibly that when the Egyptian people move against
the capital, the army will move against the protesters and the blood bath will
begin. The agreement was made between the army and Mubarak that the army
wouldn't take action on the people as long as they were peaceful, this has
changed for whatever reasons and the army will take action against the unruly
masses soon enough.
This one time peaceful demonstration, is now looked at by Mubarak as
a revolution, coo, revolt or overthrow of his government and not a perceived
peaceful demonstration requesting peaceful resolution to national issues. He
sees this as a direct effort to force him from office by whatever means and this
isn't a good proposition no matter how you slice it.
He views his people as a direct threat to both his regime and
personal well being and thus, this makes him a desperate and dangerous man with
the capacity to kill. Will he order his forces to kill? I believe he will on the
premise that he was attacked first.
The leader, Mubarak has tried to meet the mass half way as far as
he's concerned however, the people are hell bent to remove him despite this and
thus, the impasse exist. In short, eight months is unacceptable to the people
and stepping down immediately is out of the question for
Mubarak.
I think that Mubarak will wait to see if his disruptive and deceptive
tactics will work against his people first via releasing the prisoners and the
plain clothed malicious placed within the crowds, and then he will move forward
from there.
I think he's doing this to throw attention from himself while getting
the mass demonstrators to turn against one another, ( Conquer And Divide). We
have evidence of this via the armed military check points permitting known
disruptive groups through the blocks without so much as viewing their
ID's.
In light of the current conflict and attacks on American reporters
and others, I would withdraw all support from both the government and people
while permitting them in resolving this matter on their own accord. I believe
that the Egyptian government will lash out at the civilian populace eventually
as this heats up and that it's only going to get worse before it gets
better.
Like I stated before, this guy knows he's going down and he's going
to cause as much conflict and destruction as he can before he's outed. Again,
he's in the hopes that he can avert this imminent event in being
dethroned.
Further, I also believe that the United States needs to stay clear of
this conflict both politically and militarily as this isn't our fight. I would
commend the Obama Administration for staying clear of this political event other
than appealing to Mubarak to step down from office.
Even though Al Quaeda will use this event to further their cause I
believe we should hold fast; we can't save the world especially when they don't
want to be saved. We can see this with the in and out appearances of the Muslim
Brotherhood etc.
Again, this is a instance of a Democracy being pushed into a kingdom
that very seldom, to almost never works as time has shown us. I believe in live
and let live regarding one's faith system, religion or political system. I
believe that we need to draw the line somewhere in matters such as this, no
matter the cost.
This incident will be bloody and destructive yet, this isn't our
problem and we must draw the line in engaging in global conflicts and this is a
good place to start. One thing I've learned over time. You can't help everyone,
not everyone wants your help, and there will always be those that want your help
but don't deserve it.
There will also be those who deserve your assistance that you end up
helping, but a time must come in cutting them loose for their own good. To those
that help us, when is the favor repayed and how long do you keep repaying the
favor? Yes, Mubarak helped America throughout the years but we simply can't
back, or support a man who tortures his own people year after
year.
We can't support a nation who cares nothing about destroying both
their national super structure and who further commit violent and destructive
damage and death to their own neighbors as a result of differing political
views.
In summary, we saw a ancient people grasp Democracy briefly until it
became inconvenient, and then went on to quickly submerse themselves back into
their old ways of overthrowing a given government.
We saw a dictator grasp Democracy briefly only to abuse it over 20 to
30 years, we see a nation reverting back in time to the very start. We just
can't save the world despite our best efforts especially a people who kneel to
pray one second only to get up a kill their neighbors with a rock the next. The
civilized world has rules that aren’t really being observed in Egypt at this
time.
The Egyptian troops will mow the people down and the masses will
disperse only to come back as gorilla fighters on those whom they feel oppressed
them. If by some chance they do overthrow the government, then we will see this
same thing launched against the one they replace Mubarak with in a few years,
lol.
How is this any different from the way these folks handled such
issues 4000 years ago in this country? Unfortunately, there are many deserving
and well meaning people over in Egypt, that really love democracy however, they
are being made to suffer greatly as the result of the actions of the
many.
Again, good job Obama Administration, as you are setting the
standards for future Foreign Policy concerning not engaging in conflict that
doesn't belong to us. You have our votes big time.
